It does not matter what you jump over. Things very, very rarely go wrong and if they do I am afraid it isn't going to matter what you land in - you're f**ked.

Mind you, virtually every other sport is more dangerous - you are far more likely to have an accidednt skiing or snowboarding, playing football et etc
