I've never been to Cabo but I did Cancun this summer. It was my first time drift diving (at least intentionally). The current was really strong but once I got used to not being able to swim to where I wanted to go it was really cool to site back, chill and let the reef float by. I also did a Cenote dive, which was really cool. It was a little creapy diving in a cave for the first time but the water was so clear you almost felt like you weren't under water as some points.
