Mine would have to be when I was camping in the Texas Hill Country. I was sleeping in a tiny tent and awoke to soft snorting and a really fowl smell. The sound and scents continued for what felt like hours. The next morning I found that my entire camp site was surrounded by the tracks of the what the locals call the "Wild Russian Boar". These things are nasty buggers that can get up to a half ton or more. And they are definitely not nice.
