Three season vs. Four season camping

So whats the verdict? I love camping when its warm but I've never made the jump to cold weather camping. I think the coldest it's ever been when I'm out is around 45 degrees F. I see that it will require a different tent, ( I should have sprung for the convert! ) I might have to replace my stove.. what else can I count on being different?

As for the 3-season vs. 4-season poll, I'm biased and say 3-season.

No matter if you choose, three or four season camping, you might refer to the following book for some tips for keeping warm....

[u]Sex in a Tent[u] by Michelle Waitzman. An easy read filled with fun tent games for rainy days, useful tips on de-funking unwashed hair, what fabrics air out better after a few days of wear and even some sweet treats to get you in the mood.

Important gear for spending a few days in the woods with your near and dear

It would have been wise to get the four-season convertable, but you didn't, so now you have the choice of buying one or getting a tent that is four-season only. They can have some pretty nice perks and attatchments. Also, look to see if the fuel your stove uses can work in colder temps. You can also check to see if you bought a stove that works w/ several fuel types. Maybe you won't have to spend the extra money.
Globe Trekkers book recommendation is something you should look into seriously, its packed full of useful and fun info. Good luck!
