How long before you dig in on the the insects?

There are always shows and articles about how if you ever have to, you can eat various bugs for food. How long would you go before you started eating bugs?

If it was the only food available and it was the only chance of nutrition then I wouldn't hesitate to eat bugs. It really depends on the situation not on how long I'd been somewhere.

I would definitely look for vegetation I could eat first. Edible berries and nuts would be my first choice.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bow lines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Explore. Dream. Discover.

Yeah, good choice, lol

I think it might be difficult to discern the edible from the not-edible - if you don't know a lot about identifying what's okay and what's not okay (to eat). I guess, go for the stuff that looks friendly ? Who knows.

I'm always afraid of the mushrooms because I don't know which ones are poisonous. I should probably find a book and start learning them.
