Anyone watch Survivor Man?

I recently discovered Survivor Man on the Discovery Channel with Les Stroud. I really like that show! I'm addicted! Does anyone know of any other shows or books like this?

I'm addicted to Survivor Man too! I think there is another show I saw once on Discovery but I haven't seen it again. I don't know about any other shows but for books there are tons of survival guides and the Worst Case Scenario books are pretty good.

Survivor Man is good. There is also Man vs. Wild but it's kind of cheesy. He's an ex-special forces guy so he does some stupid stuff to show off and he has a camera crew with him. Survivor Man is much better because he is by himself and carries his own cameras. Less fake I guess...

I'm not sure if it's true or not but a friend of mine told me that Man vs. Wild was a total phony because he actually stays in hotel rooms at night and stuff.

Les Stroud is awesome. Don't watch Man vs Wild. Yawn. Very scripted and boring.

I did some Googling and it looks like Bear Grylls is a fake...

I think Man vs. Wild is called Born Survivor in the UK:

Ha Ha Bear is a fake! Les is the MAN. Apparently he is also a musician.
