Surfing

Has anyone else here ever surfed or is currently a surfer. I used to surf over in stuart, florida over at the beaches. It was great and their was a nice little shop near the water. I used to get all kinds of treats, lol.

Nope, I never surfed, but I think that it's hard to surf, anyways I would love to do a lot of sports and this is one of them!

I've done some. Florida is decent for it, but the east coast tends to be a little weak. Cali is best I say for anyone experienced. though its rougher for beginners.

I have surfed once, but that was a nightmare! I fell off the board and i went underwater for almost 2 minutes! I hadn't tied myself with the board(i had forgotten!).
But, i have never surfed after that.

Almost three decades

I've been surfing almost thirty years. I am a 2nd generation surfer. I've surfed so long now I think I could never live without it. The learning curve can be a bit difficult. Especially with the amount of paddling involved and learning how to move a board through and past the waves. Once you learn that it is pretty much all enjoyment from there. I'm in San Diego and I work at a surfboard factory. I also shape surfboards and have a small summertime surf shop in Mexico. It can be a great lifestyle.

61 yr old surfer

I have surfed since I was 12 years old. I learned how on a 10' hollow paddle board that my dad carried down to the beach for me. The break that pointsurfbaja is talking about is on of the best breaks on the North American continent, up to a mile long ride.

I tried my hands at surfing in Australia, but despite staying there for a year I didn't get very good. It is definitely one of those things that I'd like to try again and devote some time to. Surfing waves is so much fun, even if you don't get up.
