Exclamation Surfing is real Hard

i don't know bout you guys but personally i have never had the guts to start surfing....

i mean how are you supposed to stay on the board....it seems really hard....

plus i heard people actually wax their board....doesn't that make it harder to stay on....

Staying on the board is pretty easy until you try to stand up.
The wax is applied, and then combed. This gives you a far better grip to the board, especially when you try to stand up.

But your thread title is correct: Surfing is no easy sport, and if you want to be able to consistently stand up and surf waves I'd say you'd need to be practicing consistently for a minimum of six months to a year.

Right equipment

If you had the right equipment and a good wave for a beginner you could be standing up the first day.
