Swimming during the cold months.

Anyone try putting on the bathing suit and hitting the lakes during the cold season? I see it on the news, and always wonder how or why those people do it. Supposedly, it's refreshing.

I have done it once, and trust me I won't be doing it agian anytime soon. It's freezing and it takes forever to warmup. I only did because all of my friends were and their was nothing better to do. But man let's just say it was a chilling expirence.

I did it once for charity - swimming in the sea on new year. It was a laugh, but I don't want to ever do it again - I totally seized up in the cold, and it really hurt!

I didn't do it personally but my Parents did! They said it was extra fun, I want to try it sometime, I don't mind feeling cold!

I never think of trying it unless I'll be paid to do so. I can't imagine myself swimming during cold months. I don't want to look like a fool.

I do it for charity every year or so. I always seem to forget how miserable I was!
