Description: A spacious, ultralight, 2-person tent. The 4-pound Zoid 2 features 2 huge side entry doors and 2 vestibules, so each person has an entrance plus room for gear. The peak vent and kickstand provide great ventilation, while the fly, poles, and footprint can be set up independently to save weight and increase versatility.

MSR Zoid 2 Tent

A lightweight backpacking tent for those who beleive in simplicity, the Zoid 2 Tent has many of the functions of the Zoid 1 Tent, but it's just a little bit bigger. Interior space is 30.3 square feet (about double the space of the Zoid 1 Tent) and MSR designed it to fit two sleeping pads, more gear, and enough headspace for two people to sit up comfortably. The door is still on the side, which makes a huge difference when entering the tent. A full-coverage, seam-taped vestibule is, comparatively speaking, quite large and can be configured four ways to adjust to weather conditions and your gear. DAC Featherlite poles provide a stable frame and keep off weight, and at less than three pounds that's alot to ask of a tent that doesn't weigh very much to begin with. A polyester rainfly and extensive use of Micromesh (and a peak vent with kickstand support) provide excellent ventilation, as well as making an incredibly durable, stable tent with UV ray resistance. As you can expect from all MSR Tents, the construction is among the top, with unbelievably close attention to detail, making the MSR Zoid 2 Tent a tent to last you for many years to come.

Pros: Light weight, easy setup, open & airy
Cons: Not free standing

Excellent tent. Very light weight and easy to setup. I'm 5'11" and there is plenty of room to put my gear in one end of the tent and stretch out at night. I would definitely recommend this tent. Only downside I've noticed is that it is not free standing (won't stay up without the stakes in the ground) so if you are on a surface that doesn't allow for staking the tent down or in sand it could be difficult but I haven't had any problems so far.
